Book Vaughn for a speaking event

It’s not enough to know your stuff: to hold an audience’s attention (especially in that critical and difficult post-lunch slot I so often seem to be booked for) you need to know how to communicate on stage.

I’ve spoken professionally for groups ranging from 30 to 2500 in New Zealand, Australia, China, the USA and Tahiti, have also worked as an MC for a range of business groups, and am the MC and Content Director for TedX Auckland.

I also get a lot of requests for “Social Media 101s” from all sorts of industry groups, either a general overview or tailored to a particular sector.

Want to get in touch about having me speak at your event? Just hit the button. (Please note that unless you’re a charity there will be a speaking fee involved.)

A typical speaking spot for me usually runs 15-45 minutes, and I love taking questions afterwards. Topics I’ve spoken on recently include:

  • Being creative: how to make lightbulb moments happen more often

  • Lions versus tongue replacement isopods: some observations on the agency-client relationship

  • Briefs, briefly: the art and science of a magnificent creative brief

  • Everything I know about briefing I learnt at 30,000 feet

  • Walls and Windows: how social media has transformed the customer-brand relationship for ever

  • Heart, brains and balls: a recipe for social media success

  • Everything is broken and it’s awesome: how technology is disrupting just about everything
